World Riders Rally

A small village.
An open invitation.

On the slopes of the Serra da Lousã, a schist village offers a place to begin a conversation about people, journeys and rural futures.

A place with a life of its own.

Gondramaz is part of the Aldeias do Xisto network, in the municipality of Miranda do Corvo in central Portugal. Local and regional accounts describe its schist architecture, artisan traditions, village restoration and woodland setting.

We want to explore its surrounding roads and cultural landscape with the people who know it. Any future gathering will be designed with willing hosts and the capacity of the place in mind.

Our founding focus.

World Riders Rally proposes a small international gathering here: riding in suitable surrounding areas, walking through the village, sharing local food and discovering possible collaborations. Rider groups will be defined by vehicle type and local conditions. Village lanes are places to respect and explore on foot.

Host agreements, routes, dates and vehicle arrangements are still being developed. This page introduces the place and our intention; it does not imply that the village or any local business has formally partnered with us.

What a useful connection could look like.

  • A local host co-designs an experience for a small group.
  • A creator works with a business on an English-language offer or a visitor enquiry flow.
  • A guide and a rider check the accuracy of a route story together.
  • A research participant chooses to share their view of what visiting riders change.

These are examples for discussion with local collaborators. The first task is to listen.
